Investiture Night October 20th

Cubs will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park on October 20th at 6:30 PM. Please dress for the weather and wear good shoes for hiking. We will be investing all our new tender pads (new cubs) into our pack.

Preparing for the Bottle Drive

Our big bottle drive fund raiser is on October 16th and we have to get the word out. Our task next meeting we will be to deliver bottle drive flyers in the Parkallen area. Please dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes and wear your neckers. We will meet in front of the Parkallen Elementary School at 6:30 PM.

Badge Testing

It is time to earn some badges. We will be testing for knots and for any badges of your choice from the Cub Book. I know you all have been working hard and I look forward to seeing which badges you will earn.

Knots!!!!!

Cubs, I hope all of you have been practicing your knot tying skills (Page 100 in you cub handbooks) as we will have a treat for you to see if you can tie at lease five different knots.

We will be continuing our green star badge work and prepare for the upcoming Fall Camp at Camp Evansburg on October 22-24. We will be meeting up with our good friends from 70th Gold Bar Scouting Group and will compete in a few friendly Cub Skill Competitions.

Green & Purple Stars

This year the Cubs will be working to earn their Green and Purple Stars. The Green Star will focus on their outdoor skills such as camping and hiking. The Purple Star will focus on what it means to be a Canadian and a member of a global community.

Cubs are reminded to bring their Cub books and be in full uniform for our meeting on September 22nd at the Parkallen School Gym starting at 6:30 pm.

First Meeting of the Year

Pack! Pack! Pack!

Get ready for another fun wolf cub year. It is great to see so many cubs and new cubs this year. We will be having our first meeting on September 15th at the Parkallen School Gym starting at 6:30 PM.

I will be announcing which stars we will be working on this year but I would like you all to think of some activities you would like to do this year as well.

Get some rest and I, Rikki and Bagheera look forward to seeing you this Wednesday.

September 8th Open House/Registration Night

It is that time again to get ready for another fun and exciting scout year. We will be having our Registration Night/Open House on September 8, 2010 from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parkallen School Gym.

We would like to invite everyone to come on out and meet the leaders of our program and get a chance to see what our program is all about.

We are currently accepting registrations for our Beaver Program (Ages 5 - 7), Cub Program (Ages 8 - 10) and our Scout Program (11 - 14). All our programs are coed and we meet regularly on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:50 PM.
